Buying websites online
I’ve been spending some time recently looking at the possibility of buying a couple of website businesses. Why? Well, I want to expand my portfolio but quite frankly, I am too lazy to start something from scratch! // Buying an established business means I can pick up a site which...

TheUKTrader.co.uk – what’s it all about?
// Over the years, I have written and published countless articles, podcasts, ebooks and other info-products covering various topics related to Internet marketing. Indeed, I have been generating an income online since 1998 and the Internet has provided me with my sole income since 2001. Although none of my main...
Ok so some of you are making it but it isn't enough!
I received a couple of emails this week that reminded me of one of the main reasons why I started writing the Online Trader newsletter – to help others make money online. The two emails were from people that have been subscribing for a while now and who had grabbed the ‘Internet opportunity’ with both hands. Both had recently given up their full-time jobs to concentrate on working online and both wrote to say ‘thanks’ for helping them make the break.
I know exactly what it feels like to be in this situation, as I have been there myself. Two years ago I had a ‘normal’ job and whilst I dabbled online, selling on eBay etc, I was not convinced that it was possible to earn as much money online as I was earning in Corporate Finance (my real job – yawn!). Around this time, I came across a website that had been set up by an ‘ordinary’ man who was claiming to earn over $100,000 a year from his Internet businesses. Now, many people would have ignored this claim and decided that it was some sort of scam to get you to part with your money, but I didn’t, I took notice and from there, started to build my own, very successful, portfolio of online businesses. I am forever grateful to the individual whose website inspired me and when I gave up my job, I wrote my own message of thanks to him.
One website made me realise that it was possible for a normal person, with no specific technical ability, to make a living online, so I know exactly what the senders of the above 2 emails were feeling when they wrote to me.
But you know what? Two people writing to me telling me that they have ‘made it’ online isn’t enough!! This newsletter goes out to over 11,000 subscribers and my websites get over 60,000 unique visitors a month, so surely I should be getting emails like those above every week?
I know that at times it can seem an impossible task, but the Internet is the only place that you can set up a business for next to nothing and start earning serious money in just a few months. Regardless of the tips, hints and advice that I or others like me may pass on, the only person that can actually make it happen is YOU. I know what a great feeling it is to be able to give up a job that you hate in order to work for yourself and it is also superb to hear from others that are doing the same, but it would be so much better to have 100 or 500 of you emailing me to say you have ‘done it’, instead of just 1 or 2
Ok, folks, that’s your motivational lecture over!
